Our trip to Miranda Bird Sanctuary

On Friday 8th April Takahe, Tui and Piwakawaka went to the Miranda Bird Sanctuary we went because we were learning about birds.
Soon we were on the bus, I was so excited I nearly jumped out of my seat. When we got to the Shore Center Alastair spoke about shore birds and especially about the Godwits flyways.
Later on Takahe and half of Piwakawaka had a look aroundthe centre.
Suddenly the teacher said we had to go outside to have morning-tea. A few minutes later all of the classes were running around the island surrounded by water.Soon we went to the hide at the hide a girl named Chris let us look through the telescope. We saw some of the shorebirds.
It was a fun day.

Best Gloss of the Term

This is my gloss of consequence.

It shows the meaning of and how to pronounce the word consequence.

I like the picture of a girl being smacked by her mother.

Next time I will put on more pictures off Google Images.

Performance by Pukekohe Concert Band

Last week Ramarama School watched Pukekohe high school band play all their instruments for us because we are going to be able to learn an instrument soon.

When every one came into the hall, the leader told us why they came and what they were going to play.

They played a lot of songs and showed us lots of instruments.

smoked fish and chips

Smoked Fish with Mr. Carpenter on PhotoPeach

On Wednesday 6th of April, our class takahe had smoked fish and chips. Mr Carpenter showed us how to smoke fish. The way we smoked the fish was with a little metal box with two little bowls underneath the box with oil in them.
The fish we did were called Snapper and Trevally. The fire was coming out the holes of the smoker, wisps of smoke were coming out from the the cracks.
When the bell went Takahe came to the hall and lined up to get the smoked fish and chips.
"IT WAS DElICIOUS!"
