How Bikes Work
We have been learning to write explanations, here is mine...
A bike is a two wheel object that has a handle bar and a seat. Bikes have been around ever since 1817 and are used for many things like transport.
When you push down on the pedal, the pedal will move the chain which is connected to one or more cogs and makes the wheel move. This makes the bike accelerate.
The brakes are under the handle and are used to stop the bike. When you push down on the brake it tightens the front wheel and makes you stop.
The handle is used to steer the bike; turn the handle to the right the and bike turns right .It only moves the front wheel. The handle has a steal bar connected to both sides of the cog which makes the wheel move.
Some bikes have gears which makes it harder or easier to ride.

There were two performances. The whole school came to the Hawkins Theatre to watch. Nearly every seat was full! It was extraordinary how lots of people said it was great.
We all had lots of fun and we can't wait till the next year's play!
